Of Movies, Poets and Books.

If anyone knows me really well, they would understand my love for poetry and anything bordering on poetry. I like a good book or a movie with very well thought out dialogue. Not the kind that leave you wondering whether you are too slow or why it had to be so complicated Nah ah! You know those movies that you watch and keep smiling like a retard? simply because the dialogue is so damn brilliant and you feel like there is someone who totally gets you or your sense of humour for that matter.

I watched this movie called 'Spring Breakers' and I'm still regretting why I wasted 1hour 30min of my life. If only somebody could tell me what these guys set out to achieve... I cannot even begin to express my anger at their attempt to use sex to drive the movie's plot. I don't know what the premise was, neither do I know what lesson I was supposed to learn from that movie.Have you watched the series 'Game of Thrones'? You probably know what I'm talking about when I say brilliant dialogue. Extremely interesting with shocking twists in the plot but that is what I love about good story telling. I don't want to sit and wonder why I'm watching or sit thee knowing exactly how the movie will end...

Enough of that, I'm currently reading 'The Night Watch' by Sarah Waters and so far I'm hooked into this story so much that I grab every chance I get during the day to flip a few pages. If only one could take this book and turn it into a movie...sigh! If you love me, buy me a book :-).  What does all that have to do with poets you ask? Well, if you can work around words to bring out great dialogue then you are close to being a poet haha! I'm a poet myself ;-). I have to get off and work now but I will definitely take a moment to post a poem by one of my favorite poets. Since all my posts have to be accompanied by pictures, today I post one of me being serious...I mean it, I'm seriously thinking of what to write...I lie! I'm just fooling around in the office.

Do have a lovely day!
